The ReSpace Design Competition is an international contest to design a transportable structure out of reusable materials. Out of 30 entries, the LightWall design was deemed the 2012 prize-winner. All proceeds from the auction of the LightWall will benefit Habitat of Humanity of Wake County, NC.
The Light Wall Pavilion was built during a 48-hour blitz by Habitat for Humanity volunteers. The reused materials used to build it include a variety of materials donated or salvaged from around Wake County including:
Framing - Lumber salvaged by Habitat Wake’s DeConstruction program.
Interior - Maple gym flooring from Chapel Hill High School salvaged by the DeConstruction program.
Exterior Siding - Diagonal floor sheathing from the DeConstruction program, manufactured siding donated to the Raleigh ReStore.
Weather Barrier & Roofing - TPO donated to the Raleigh ReStore.
Light Wall - Old pallet racking from the Raleigh ReStore and reused glass bottles from various bars and restaurants in Downtown Raleigh.

PAYMENT: Accepted forms of payment include Visa, MasterCard, local check & cash. Payment must be made prior to picking any items up. Load out staff can not accept any form of payment.<br>

STAGGERED/DYNAMIC CLOSING: The auction will begin closing at 7:00pm CST at the rate of 5 lots per minute. The closing time of each lot will be automatically extended an additional 5 minutes whenever a bid is placed within the last 5 minutes of the lot closing.<br>

LOAD OUT: The winning bidder is responsible for arranging & scheduling shipment. This will require a rigging service with a low boy trailer. The pavilion weighs roughly 10,000lbs and measures 18.5&#8242;Length by 11.5&#8242; Width by 11&#8242; Height and will require a wide load permit.<br>

WARRANTY & CONDITION OF ITEMS SOLD: All items are sold 'AS IS, WHERE IS, with NO WARRANTY expressed or implied. It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine the condition of the items and bid accordingly.<br>

CAUTION: For demonstration purposes various equipment may be joined. Do not assume a lot consists of more than one item simply because they are connected or pictured together. Please inspect the lot numbers and read the descriptions.<br>
